According to UN guidelines, recycled plastics are "materials that have been recovered from used industrial packaging, cleaned and prepared for processing into new packaging. Post-consumer recyclate is therefore currently excluded from the production of hazardous goods transport packaging."

Together with the international standardization organization and several experts from Europe, I am working on the new version of EN ISO 16103 "Packaging for the transport of dangerous goods (recycled plastics)" in order to define the necessary measures for the use of post-consumer recyclate.
